  • Hiding "Start My Store" The "Start My Store" quick start guide at the top of the Admin panel takes you through the basic steps of the setup process. After your store is up and running, you might prefer to hide "Start My Store," so it is not available while you, or others, are working on your store.

  • Task Notifications The Task Notifications section displays a list of completed tasks and system update notices.
  • Site Maintenance During the normal operation of your store, there will be times when it is necessary to perform routine maintenance on your site. Although many operations can be performed while your site is live, some operations, such as editing interface text, are best managed when the site is offline.
  • Working In Maintenance Mode While performing maintenance on your store, it is recommended that you activate maintenance mode to temporarily block access to your store. To minimize the impact on your customers, you can schedule site maintenance to take place during off-peak hours.

  • Message Inbox The Magento Go Messages section is where your store receives messages from Magento. These messages can refer to billing and payment plans, store upgrades, scheduled maintenance, and more.
