Using the CSS Editor

  • Using the CSS Editor Magento Go lets you add your own custom cascading style sheet (CSS) file to override any of the default CSS that is used in the available themes. This gives you control over the styling of all of the elements in your store.
  • How to Remove "Add Product Tag" Magento Go provides many eCommerce features for your convenience but if certain features do not fit your store’s theme, they can typically be removed.
  • Removing White Image Border The white canvas is controlled by your theme's design. You can apply CSS to remove the "white" border. Best to upload your base images to minimum of 430px X 430px.
  • How to Remove the Search Box Magento Go provides many eCommerce features for your convenience but if certain features do not fit your store’s theme, they can typically be removed. If you would not like to give your customers the option to search your web store then the search bar can be removed.
  • Managing CSS Assets Magento Go uses a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to manage images that you upload to your store. Images and fonts that are used in content, as well as those referenced from the CSS can be uploaded directly from the CSS Editor or Text Editor. As a best practice, you should organize your CSS assets into folders by theme to keep them separate from other images in Media Storage.
  • Uploading Custom CSS You can create a CSS file with only the declarations that you want to use as overrides, and upload it to your store. (The file should include only the CSS declarations that you want to change.)
  • CSS Examples The following examples illustrate how you can customize your theme by making slight changes to CSS styles.
