System > Configuration > General > Web
Use the Web tab to set the following information for general web-related areas of your store:
Use URL Options to configure how you want to redirect URLs to your store’s base URL.
|URL Options||Set to No, Yes (302 Found), or Yes (301 Moved Permanently).
For more information, see What you Need to Know About URL Redirection: 301 v 302.
This setting determines the domain that is used for your store. If you have a registered custom domain name that you want to use as your Magento Go store’s address in place of the default Magento-provided domain, use this setting to enable your custom domain. Setting a custom domain is a multiple-step process, and after your custom domain is initialized, it takes between 24-48 hours for your new domain name to be fully integrated into your Magento Go store. For more information, see Set Up a Custom Domain.
|Active Domain||Select the domain from the list that you want to use as the active domain for your store. The current active domain is the default.|
This section is used to specify the pages in your store’s content management system (CMS) that are used for the starting page of your store, and for “page not found” errors. For more information about what CMS pages are and how to manage them, see Managing CMS Pages.
|CMS Home Page||Select a page from the drop-down list to assign it as the home page of your store. You can use the default provided, or create a page of your own and then select it from this list.
For more information, see Creating Your Own Home Page.
|CMS No Route Page||Select a page from the drop-down list to assign it as the page you want loaded into the browser if an http 404 “page not found” error occurs. You can use the default provided, or create a page of your own and then select it from this list.|
|CMS No Cookies Page||
If a customer in your store has cookies disabled in their browser, you need to notify them that your store requires their browser to accept cookies to work properly. Select a page from the drop-down list to use to notify customers that they need to enable cookies. You can use the default provided, or create a page of your own and then select it from this list.
|Show Breadcrumbs for CMS Pages||Breadcrumbs (also called “you-are-here” lines) appear by default on each catalog page in your store. For example, you might see a breadcrumb trail like this: Home / Electronics / Cameras / Accessories. If you want breadcrumbs to appear on your store’s CMS pages, set to Yes.|
Magento Go can ensure that each IP address only has one vote in each of your store’s polls. For more information, see Creating Polls.
NOTE: Multiple users might have legitimate reasons to share the same IP address. For example, more than one customer might use the same computer to access your site, or customers might share an IP address when using a home router.
|Disallow Voting in a Poll Multiple Times from Same IP-address||Set to Yes to limit each IP address to only one vote in each poll.|
