Overview
The Checkout tab manages configurations and settings for the various features related to checkout. From here, you can manage and configure the following shipping methods:
- Checkout Options
- Shopping Cart
- My Cart Link
- Shopping Cart Sidebar
- Payment Failed Emails
Setting the Configuration Scope
Before you continue, make sure to set the correct configuration scope, if necessary. The field descriptions in the tables below identify the scope level for each setting. For more information, see: Understanding Store Scope.
Checkout Options
The Checkout Options section lets you configure Onepage Checkout, Guest Checkout, and Terms and Conditions.
To configure the checkout process for your store:
- To create a single-page checkout process, set Enable Onepage Checkout to Yes.
- Set Allow Guest Checkout to one of the following:
- Yes: Allows guests to complete the checkout process without creating an account.
- No: Requires guests to create an account with your store before completing the checkout process.
- To display the Terms and Conditions during checkout, set Enable Terms and Conditions to Yes.
Note: To enable Terms and Conditions, one page checkout must be enabled.

NOTE:In order to enable this feature, one page checkout must be enabled.

Shopping Cart
The Shopping Cart section lets you configure what happens after an item is placed in the cart, and the selection of thumbnail images for Configurable and Grouped products.
To configure the shopping cart:
- To redirect the customer to the shopping cart page after adding a product, set After Adding a Product Redirect to Shopping Cart to Yes.
- In the Grouped Product Image list, select one of the following options to determine which thumbnail appears in the shopping cart:
- Product Thumbnail Itself
- Parent Product Thumbnail
- In the Configurable Product Image list, select one of the following options to determine which thumbnail appears in the shopping cart:
- Product Thumbnail Itself
- Parent Product Thumbnail

If enabled, visitors who add a product to their shopping cart will be redirected to the Shopping Cart page. From there, the customer can complete the checkout process or continue shopping. |

Determines the product thumbnail that is displayed in the Shopping Cart for a Grouped Product. Options include:
- Product Thumbnail Itself
- Parent Product Thumbnail

Determines the product thumbnail that is displayed in the Shopping Cart for a Configurable Product and its product variations. Options include:

My Cart Link
The My Cart link is located in the upper-right header of your store, and displays a summary of the current contents of shopping cart. Use the My Cart Link panel to configure the type information that is displayed in the Cart Summary.
To configure the My Cart Link:
From the Display Cart Summary list, select one of the following as the type of summary information you want to appear.
- Display number of items in cart
- Display item quantities

Sets the summary number in the My Cart link. This value, also called the cart summary, can be set to:
- Display number of items in cart - Displays the number of items in the shopping cart.
- Display item quantities - Displays how many units of items are in the shopping cart.

Shopping Cart Sidebar
The Shopping Cart Sidebar section lets you enable and configure the shopping cart sidebar that appears when the My Cart link is clicked.
To configure the Shopping Cart Sidebar:
- Set Display Shopping Cart Sidebar to Yes to enable this feature.
- In the Maximum Display Recently Added Item(s) field, enter the number of shopping cart items to display in the shopping cart sidebar.

Payment Failed Emails
The Payment Failed Emails section allows you to configure the email template to be used, the recipient, as well as the sender of the email notification messages that are sent whenever a customer transactions fail.
To configure Payment Failed Email:
- In the Payment Failed Email Receiver list, select the email address that notifications will be sent to when a payment fails.
- In the Payment Failed Email Sender list, select the email address that notifications will be sent from when a payment fails.
- In the Payment Failed Templates list, select the email template to be used for email notification of failed transactions.
- In the Send Payment Failed Email Copy To field, type any other email addresses that you want to receive a copy of the notification. To include multiple addresses, separate each by a comma.
- In the Send Payment Failed Copy Method field, select one of the following:
- Bcc: (Blind Carbon Copy) Sends a copy of the email message, but does not include the email address of the recipient in the email header.
- Separate Email: Sends a separate copy of the email notification to the recipient, and includes the email address of the recipient in the message header.

- Separate Email: Sends a separate individual email.
