Modifying Categories
This article shows how to modify, delete, and change the order of categories in your Magento Go catalog.
To modify a category:
- From the Admin panel, select Catalog > Manage Categories.
- In the category tree on the left, select the category that you want to edit.
- The category information is arranged in the following tabbed sections across the page:
- General Information
- Display Settings
- Custom Design
- Category Products
- Category View Optimization
Make the necessary changes to category information.
- When you are finished, click the Save Category button.
To rearrange the order of categories:
- In the category tree, simply click and drag the category from one location to another in the tree.
- When you are finished, click the Save Category button.
To delete a category:
- In the category tree, click to select the category that you want to remove.
- Click the Delete Category button.
Any subcategories that area associated with the category are also removed.
